Rachel was my best friend at GHS.  I remember having such fun in Home Arts class (what WAS that teacher's name?) and in homeroom and football games.  I remember her brother Dan singing "Sister Goldenhair" to her and their younger sister.

Rachel and I kept in touch through several years at Montgomery College, attended numerous concerts together at Merriweather Post (The Carpenters and Jackson Browne) and then her family moved to Washington State.

I ran into her in the late '80's or early '90's when she was an exhibitor/crafter at a show at Casey Barns.  We exchanged addresses (she was living in Pennsylvania) and kept in touch for a few years and then lost touch again.

I am SO sad to hear of her passing.  Rachel was a great friend and a lovely, talented person.  RIP Rachel.broken heart

Rachel........only knew you breifly at GHS, but got to know you more meaningfully at Montgomery College, you were in the theater department...had just a few dates...  You shared the fact that you  had life threatening issues then.....I remember that there was this glow about you when ever we met...I can still remember those lovely blue eyes, perfect peaches and cream complection and that halo of blond (almost white) hair ...never a cross word came from your lips about anything....you ALWAYS had a positive attitude......I didn't understand it then, but now, I realize you were much wiser beyond your years...hope to see you at the BIG reunion someday.......Randy Creaser  (:-/)
