HI I remember Debbie as a very nice, quiet, smart person, and I really liked her. She had a subtle sense of humor. I'm so sorry to hear that she's gone. I took a photo of her 1972 Senior Class photo from the 1972 Sail On yearbook. Safe home, Debbie.

I remember Debbie as a thoughtful, quiet and mature classmate but very accessible on a one to one basis. So sad to hear of her passing ...

One of my best friends from GHS, Debbie, and Jane Bindl (where are you, Jane?) and I rewarded ourselves for graduating in 1972 with a week of camping, hiking and enjoying the Catoctin Mountains and Cunningham Falls.  It was a French immersion experience, which means they spoke only French and I nodded my head a lot!  Debbie was beautiful, and both serious and humorous--the perfect example of "still waters run deep."  She once told me her favorite place was Stockholm where she enjoyed traveling for her career.  When she passed, she left her husband, daughter and parents...and many others, including me, who are grateful that she had touched our lives.

Debbie was one of the first to greet me warmly as a new student in 10th grade. That meant the world to me and her quiet calm and subtle sense of humor were hallmarks of her personality. I have no doubt her spirit is peacefully residing in heaven.

I was deeply saddened to learn just in the last few days of Debbie's passing. I didn't know her well, but in the brief times we had an opportunity to interact she impressed me as one of the kindest people I had ever met at GHS. When she heard that I wanted to learn to play the guitar but couldn't afford to buy one, she gifted me one of hers. I'm pretty sure that was only a small example of the many kind gestures she extended to others during her lifetime. As is often said, may her memory be a blessing to all who cherished her.
