In Memory

Meredith Olds (Woodward)

It is with extreme sadness to inform you that Meredith Olds passed away on April 26th.  She had been battling cancer. She had wanted dearly to attend our 50th Reunion but unfortunately was not up to it.  We've been told there will be a memorial service live streaming on her Dr. Woodward facebook page on May 20th at 6PM.  Not certain if it is Eastern or Central time as she lived in Oklahoma.  Please check that page for additional information or updates..

I just saw this.  Maredith was so bright and always looked so young and pretty.  She actually was a couple years younger than all of us, because she skipped grades a couple of times.  She played french horn very well.  I couldn't believe it when working as a GI fellow at Toronto Sick Children's Hospital (a great place to train, huge place) they paged her name. I thought there must be only one Meredith Olds, and sure enough it was she.  In fact, they paged her all the time.  I heard that she went on to have a successful career in Pediatric Neurosurgery at Utah and later in Fresno.  I'm so sorry that her cancer eventually took her, and I met many at the reunion who would have liked to have one last hug!
