I haven't been in touch with Danny since I graduated, but we all knew that he had hemophilia in the days when they didn't have factor VIII concentrate, and I remember how he defied the diagnosis. He even ran barefoot against the fastest in our class in some of the running events we had on field day. He was a true champion and lived life to the fullest. I remember he was proud of his Greek heritage. I wish I knew what happened to him after HS.
